Speaking In Tongues

Well, this is not a controversial topic, is it?! Today’s Theology Thursdays post is another Slideshare presentation on pneumatology, the study of the Holy Spirit.

My view on the subject of “tongues” has changed over the years as I regard the topic as a matter of secondary or tertiary doctrinal interest. Having said that, I do enjoy engaging the biblical texts to learn as much as possible about speaking in tongues.

To date, I have not discovered anyone who has done a finer job of examining all of the relevant passages than theologian Wayne Grudem. I find myself largely in agreement with his view as I believe it to be the most faithful and straightforward interpretation of the biblical material.

So without further ado, today’s Slideshare presentation provides 7 Characteristics Of Speaking In Tongues, with a little comic relief interspersed here and there. Enjoy!
