For the past few “Theology Thursdays,” we have been examining what theologians often refer to as the “Person and Work” of Christ. We’ve noted Christ’s full deity and full humanity, the “hypostatic union” of two natures in one person.
Today’s post examines the fourth of the “Four Great Christological Passages” in the New Testament (John 1:1-18, including John 8:58 and John 14:6; Philippians 2:5-11; Colossians 1:13-20, including Colossians 2:9-10; and Hebrews 1:1-3, including Hebrews 1:5-14 and Hebrews 2:5-18).
Our SlideShare presentation is largely an outline of Hebrews 1:1-4 adapted from Dr. Danny Akin, president of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. It is followed by a great hymn text: “Fairest Lord Jesus.”
