Efficacious Grace

Because it can be challenging to grasp, we continue our systematic theological treatment of the doctrine of efficacious (or effectual) grace.

Today’s Theology Thursdays Slideshare presentation addresses some common objections to efficacious grace: “What is the point of evangelizing if God has already determined who will be saved?!” Or, “If this teaching is true, we are merely passive robots!”

The presentation concludes with one of my favorite hymn texts from The Pilgrim Hymnal (1904), “I sought the Lord, and afterward I knew.”
